When you know you need to store your stuff
Moving is always an exciting time! It’s a whole new and slightly daunting chapter in life. But, when exactly do you know it’s time to call in the storage experts for all the stuff that you can’t take with you right now? Here are some of the primary reasons you’ll need to give us a call:
Moving abroad
Relocating to a new country is a BIG move. Because it’s such a large undertaking, with packing up and moving all your possessions thousands of miles away with possibly an ocean between your two homes, it can make it nearly impossible to take every little thing with you – especially if the move may be temporary.
Downsizing
There are many times in life when you might decide to downsize your current living situation from becoming an empty nester to adopting the tiny house movement. However, you might still have some family heirlooms that might not sit in the new, smaller pad. Don’t try to force it! Store it.
Combining households
Stuff on top of stuff on top of more stuff! That’s what it can feel like when you are combining homes with a new spouse, extended family members crashing, or acquiring multiple roommates. It can be hard to tell what all you will need at first. Don’t be too hasty to throw away those large pieces of furniture, store it, and see what how the new living situation shakes out. You might need that floral couch after all!
